BDSM : Bondage/Discipline, Dominance/Submission, Sadism/Masochism (or Sadomasochism)
Selina Raven joins us to talk about BDSM. She shares her knowledge of the history behind this alternative lifestyle, as well as her own experiences.
BDSM encompasses a lot of activities and mindsets. We talk about the roles of the top and the bottom, the dominant and the submissive, the sadist and the masochist. To some it's a lifestyle, to others it's a form of occasional play, and to some it's a spiritual practice.
Negotiation and communication are key elements in mastering any kind of relationship, especially BDSM, so we spend some time talking about the importance of BDSM activities being safe, sane, and consensual.
We finish Part 1 of this two-part conversation by defining what a safeword is and just why it is so crucial in every type of scene.
